SteepHolm Nature Reserve

Information for Trust Members

Trust Members are reminded that it is an offence for anyone without specific license or permission to handle or interfere with the flora & fauna of the island, should they come across anyone who is failing to observe the rules, please ask them to refrain and report the matter to the wardens. This also includes suspicion of any independent actions taking place, e.g. recently a pair of visitors collected up all the pigeon ID rings that they could find and have taken them to report their find to the pigeon racing body. It is the Trusts policy that it has control over all actions that take place on the reserve, all finds of such nature should be should be presented to the warden to be dealt with officially by the trust.

All activities on the island are controlled and agreed by the management committee.

The warden should be aware of any activity taking place on the island for the reserve to be managed in the correct manner, and possibly people's safety.

Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
